Apart from the version bump, I have mpg123 compile with fixed point math, which resulted in a huge performance improvement on my Ben Nanonote. Compiled with floating point math (the default) anything over 192kbps would stutter, but with fixed point math, anything up to and including 320kbps MP3 files play smoothly. This should be the same for other devices lacking an FPU (all embedded devices?).
